WAKING UP TO WHITENESS - Yearlong

This course is for self-identified white people who have completed Waking Up to Whiteness 101. We’ll use Robin DiAngelo’s book “What it Means to be White” as a guide for deepening our understanding of whiteness and as a foundation for discussion. Each session will also include time for relational mindfulness practice, deepening connection in community, and practicing skills that disrupt whiteness. Through cultivating shared practice in community, we will explore together how to create supportive white anti-racist culture.

Some of the topics we will explore in depth:

  • The characteristics of white culture and its patterns
  • White racial identity development
  • Calling In Practice
  • Specific ways to take action against/with white privilege
